Order Processing

Once your order has been placed, it will be reviewed and verified before shipment.

Pending payment confirmation, order verification, and health inspection of your tortoise, most orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days.

Live animal shipments are scheduled based on weather conditions, carrier availability, and the well-being of the tortoise. This helps ensure your tortoise travels under the safest possible conditions.

Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.

Live Tortoise Shipping

Our tortoises are shipped using trusted carriers that specialize in the safe transportation of live animals where available.

Every shipment is carefully packaged with appropriate insulation and ventilation to minimize stress during transit.

To protect the health of your tortoise, shipments may be delayed if weather conditions are considered unsafe, including extreme heat, freezing temperatures, or severe storms.

Our team will contact you if shipping needs to be rescheduled.

Delivery Time

Estimated delivery times vary depending on your location and the shipping method selected.

  • Standard Delivery: Approximately 2 to 7 business days after your order has been dispatched.

  • Express Delivery (where available): Approximately 1 to 3 business days after dispatch.

Please note that these delivery estimates do not include weekends, public holidays, customs processing, or unexpected carrier delays.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated during checkout based on several factors, including:

Delivery Requirements

Someone 18 years of age or older should be available to receive live tortoise deliveries.

Please ensure the shipping address provided is accurate and accessible.

Tortopian Premium is not responsible for delays or additional charges resulting from incorrect shipping information supplied by the customer.

International Shipping

International shipping is available only to countries where the import and ownership of the selected tortoise species is legally permitted.

Customers are responsible for:

  • Import permits (where required).

  • Customs duties and taxes.

  • Local import regulations.

  • Any additional government fees.

Failure to comply with local import laws may result in delays, confiscation, or refusal of shipment, for which Tortopian Premium cannot be held responsible.

Delayed Deliveries

While we work closely with our shipping partners to ensure timely delivery, unexpected delays may occasionally occur due to:

  • Carrier delays.

  • Customs inspections.

  • Public holidays.

  • Natural disasters.

  • Other unforeseen circumstances.

Undeliverable Packages

  • The package was refused.

  • Customs clearance failed due to customer responsibility.

Additional shipping charges may apply before the order can be reshipped.

Some tortoise species cannot be shipped to certain countries, states, or regions due to wildlife protection laws and local regulations.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that ownership and importation of the selected species are legal in their location before placing an order.
